New Menu for cafe

 I have recently made work for the museli pakage design and cafe's menu signs.
i think cook book lead me to do more cookery images in a way which is fun to explore.
hope all goes well since it has been still negotiating.

COCHINELLI BAG for W Magazine (Korea)

I have been picked  as 10 finalist for W magazine's New Talent Contest recently.
The winner will be announces in Jan 2012. The brief was Dream and i had to include the bag from Coccinelle's 2011 new products. I've never considered myself doing fashion illustration before, therefore i felt it isn't me what i was doing at the bigining of process . But the painful procedure became the joy of playing with colours and textures.

I think the characters r still too neat to get a feeling of my works but i  am still think it is visually pleasing.

더블유 잡지의 5회 뉴탈렌트 콘테스트 작업 이미지 입니다.
쿼키한 작업을 다듬고 다듬고 다듬어 어렵사리 패션 일러스트에 맞춰 제출 했어요.
어느정도를 지키고 얼만큼 맞춰야 하나 쉽지 않은 과정이었지만 뭐, 많이 맞췄죠.
근데 막판엔 정말 재밋게 했어요.

 캐릭터는 여전히 아쉽지만 색이랑 텍스쳐만으로 화면에서 노는 건 재밋게 한 작업입니다.
자 그럼 한국분들을 투표하러 가시죠 ^ㅡ^

Cooking Drawing Book, working in progress

These are few pics what for project called "Cooking Drawing Book", i have just finished.

i chose collage more than ever and tried to be more aesthetic and readable.

it looks a bit different what i have done so far, yet i feel right.

i am quiet pleased how it turns up eventually and looking forward to be published soon.

recylcled the figures from cycle to the 2012 olympic breif.
i am pretty pleased that finally i solve the question
_ how i can play 3d models on 2d page' but i also knows that there is more issue to study. such as shadows and the direction of them...... and i will keep my dignity quietly about my entry results. lol
London, bike, cycling, being green these were fun to do illustration!

but i think it is pretty fun image, hope u enjoy too.

i want to make my book as simple and bold and effortless one  but when the more i try the heavier it ended up. well i can do it!

D&AD Wild Horses/ Paint it Black - Roliing Stones

this is my excecution responding to the brief 2011 at D& AD award.

the sounds are recorded from my horses chime.
i believe noone would imagine that old horse shoes can make this sacred sound!

well ,unfortunately my entry wasn't successful but i really worked on this project hard and had fun.

MEN's portrait on your mind when you have no-phone and broken computer the day before competition you were aiming for.

that is terrible excuse i could enter the award while i was having fun with those pretty crazy guys.
oh dear, someday i still want to do some aimless drawings.......
at least i retouch them and add some pointless copies to practice print based images.

The brief for this project was titled ‘future sound’ and each person has a randome song and need to work responding the sounds.

My song was the Rolling stones’ ‘ Paint it black’. First i focused on the beat, which feels like you are being chased, but it sings about the sorrow of girlfriend’s death. I imagined he is emotionally drained from sadness and therefore cannot play music anymore. That initial idea lead me to imagine the instruments what we cannot play like sort of Dada’s sculptures. I choose the accordion because it is used in Jewish music a lot, and the song sounds like Jewish funeral song.
